Pacific Coast Charters from Panama City

The Pacific side of Panama offers world-class fishing, whale watching (July through October), and island escapes to Taboga and the Pearl Islands. AMPA Tours operates private charters departing from the Flamenco Marina on the Amador Causeway, just 15 minutes from downtown Panama City. No early-morning jungle road required.

Destinations

Panama Bay (4 hours) - A half-day cruise along the Panama City skyline and under the Bridge of the Americas. Ideal for sunset trips, corporate events, or a quick fishing session. The Panga 32 runs this route for $315.

Taboga Island - Known as the "Island of Flowers," Taboga sits 20 km offshore with calm beaches, snorkeling, and a small village. Full-day trips on the Regal SAV 40 start at $2,500 (up to 18 guests) or $650 on the Panga 32 (up to 9 guests). Fishing charters to Taboga target roosterfish, snapper, and jack crevalle.

Pearl Islands - The archipelago made famous by Survivor. White sand beaches, humpback whales in season, and deep-water fishing for marlin, tuna, and mahi-mahi. Full-day trips start at $3,900 (Regal SAV 40) or $1,000 (Panga 32). Fishing charters to the Pearl Islands are $1,350 on the Panga.
